School Roof Replacement

Lincolnshire County Council as part of their ongoing maintenance of school buildings across the county have made the decision that our flat roof should be replaced. These works will take up to 3 months to complete and we felt it important to inform you of the possible implications for the day to day running of the school throughout the duration of the project.

Works will commence on Thursday 8 February 2018. The initial phase will involve erecting of scaffolding around the school building and the installation of compounds in the car park and infant playground. The benefits of the work are clear, however, there will be some disruption around access to and from the site and building throughout the project. Whilst the majority of the start and end of day arrangements will remain the same the following will be in place for the duration of the works:

  • Y5 to arrive and leave via the infant door
  • Y3/4/6 to be collected at the end of the day from the main junior gate (there will be no access to the rear playground for parents during the project)

As there will be a significant impact on car parking capacity we ask where possible that children walk to school. We are working closely with Lincolnshire County Council and the contractors for the project to ensure that all works take place in a safe way that cause as little disruption as possible for the school community.

Thank you for your co-operation throughout these exciting redevelopment works.

Yours sincerely
