Learning At Home

Whilst we are in unprecedented times with school closures, we have put together some ideas for you and your child to continue with their learning whilst you are at home. Please click on the Parent Guide above for how to get started.

  • From 8 June 2020, we will be changing the way we provide home learning and will begin to use Microsoft Teams. Please click on the link above to find out more. We will continue to send home the weekly Learning Projects via ParentMail and the website whilst the changeover takes place. Please click on the year group for your child to find information from your child's class teacher, word lists and links to some of our favourite websites.

  • Your child can practise their phonics via videos by Mrs Matthews on our YouTube Channel where you will also find storytime with Mrs Pallier! Just click on the link above to find out more.

  •  We have also put together a timetable of super events taking place online that you and your child may enjoy. It is regularly updated on the Latest News section of the site.

  • Zoom Calls - from week commencing 4 May, teachers will be organising a Zoom call with their classes. We hope to have as many of you as possible joining in. We know that children will have missed their classmates during this difficult time and this will be a great chance for children to see their teacher and their friends. Please be assured that the Zoom call isn't compulsory. It is simply a way to support your child during this difficult period. If your child would rather not join the chat then that is absolutely fine. A letter has been sent home via ParentMail (click HERE for a copy), and the weekly Zoom IDs and passwords will be issued by the class teacher. Please note that to ensure the safety of these sessions, these login details will not be published here on the website.

Finally, the recent weeks have entailed a huge change for us and for our children. They may be feeling anxious or scared and have lots of questions. The Children's Commissioner has issued a guide to help you answer these questions, keep safe and make the best of their time at home. A copy has been sent home via ParentMail, but can be downloaded by clicking HERE.  You can also download a free copy of the book, Coronavirus - A Book For Children, illustrated by The Gruffalo author, Alex Schaffer, by clicking HERE. Please go to the Parent Guide above for further ideas on how to support your child.
