Following their appointment last term, the Belmont Mini Police were very excited to help PCSO Pam King with a very special assembly for Years 5 & 6 about kindness today.
After talking about things that make us feel happy or sad the children were asked whether anyone had ever been kind to them, and if so, what had they done. After giving lots of suggestions, the children were then asked how that act of kindness made them feel.
PCSO Pam talked of the ways we can be kind to others - such as using kind words, offering to play, sharing and giving friendship - and how by doing this we can make our community feel happier. A challenge was given - can we do a 'Random Act Of Kindness' each day, can we make a difference to someone?
The assembly was a fantastic opportunity to remind the children of our Team Belmont values and we thank PCSO Pam, the Mini Police and Mrs Harrison who organised the event. We can’t wait to see what other Mini Police projects they will be taking part in this year!
