Captain Tom 100 Challenge!

Today would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday. It is also the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations following the conclusion of his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS.

We wanted to honour and celebrate Captain Tom’s amazing achievement, so today each class took part in some special challenges, across a range of subjects and areas, all related to the number 100! This included collecting 100 natural objects (which when put in a line measured 18 metres long!), completing different PE activities for 100 seconds, finding a way to make 100 using only four 5s, and using hundredths when working in fractions!

You too can take part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge at home over the weekend - you can run, dance, walk, read, bake or even eat! To find out more, including how to make a donation to the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity  please visit the GOSH website. Please click HERE to go directly to it.
