Celebrate World Book Day - Thursday 4 March

It is World Book Day on Thursday 4 March, and we have a new challenge for you this year! Turn a loo roll into your favourite book character - you could even use them as puppets to retell your favourite story! Please see the poster below for lots of ideas - we can't wait to see yours!

The World Book Day organisation has lots of free online events planned to celebrate the day - why not visit their site and see which ones you'd like to do - please click HERE to go directly to it.

I am also pleased to let you know that we have received the £1 book tokens that we will distribute to the children next week once everyone has returned to school.

The £1 book tokens can then be swapped for one of the exclusive, new and completely FREE World Book Day books available from participating booksellers or used to get £1 off any full price book or audiobook instead (as long as the book or audiobook costs at least £2.99). The World Book Day £1 books are a gift from booksellers, who fully fund the cost of the £1 book token redemptions. The £1 books are also available in braille, large print & audio via Guide Dogs and RNIB.

The World Book Day book tokens will be valid from Thursday 18 February – Sunday 28 March 2021. In 2021 participating booksellers will honour the tokens beyond the 28 March while stocks last. Please contact your local bookseller to check if they are able to offer £1 off other titles. If you have any queries, please contact the World Book Day organisation via their link above.
