As we gathered on the field for our last assembly of the year, Mr Davidson and Chair of Governors Mr Horan, led the round of applause for the children in Taruca who are leaving us after what has been a challenging year. They have led the way and set a great example for the rest of us by how they have worked hard, shown great resilience and valued all of the learning opportunities they have had over their time at Belmont. We are very proud of them all and wish them the very best for their exciting next step as they move on to their new schools in September.
Exciting times lie ahead too for Mrs Allen, who is leaving us after 20 years of dedicated service to the children, families and colleagues at Belmont. During this time she has been an inspirational class teacher, subject leader, SENCo and Deputy Headteacher and has provided wonderful care, support and guidance to hundreds of children and families over the years. She is now moving on to follow her dream of living by the sea in Scotland. We are sure that you would like to join us in wishing her a very happy retirement and to say a big thank for everything she has contributed to Belmont and the wider community. We will miss her greatly but she has promised to keep in touch often as she embarks on her exciting adventure!
You can read a super article about Mrs Allen in the Grantham Journal. Please click HERE to go directly to it.
As the school is closed for the summer break, we hope everyone has a relaxing and safe time and look forward to welcoming all of Team Belmont back to school in September.
