FOBS Christmas Market News!

A ParentMail from Mrs James, Chair & Treasurer of the FOBS has been sent home to parents and carers today regarding the FOBS Christmas Market which will be taking place on Friday, 10 December. A copy can be downloaded by clicking HERE, but details of the arrangements put in place to ensure the safety of all of our community whilst enjoying this wonderful event are as follows:

  • The Market will open at 2:45 pm until 5:30 pm and will take place outside. The main events will take place on the Infant and Reception playground and signage will be placed throughout to direct visitors.
  • Entry to the school grounds will be via the Junior gates ONLY.
  • The external doors to classrooms will be open where parents/carers will be able to purchase their child's Christmas crafts. Parents/carers will NOT be allowed into classrooms.
  • The wonderful Belmont School Choir will be singing Christmas Carols from 3:00pm - 3:15pm

  • To ensure the safety of the children, they will be dismissed from class at their usual times of 3:15 pm (KS1) and 3:20 pm (KS2). This will be done from the classroom’s external doors.
  • Children attending Belmont Explorers will need to be collected from the main school entrance, not the Infant Playground.
  • Any cake/mince pies donations will be very welcome and should be brought into school on the morning of the event.

There will be lots of games, food and drink and great stalls for your Christmas Shopping as well as the very popular Santa's Grotto! FOBS Christmas Raffle tickets will also be on sale, but the draw will be held the following week. This is to allow those who can’t make it to the Christmas Market to purchase tickets at the Infant Nativity performances.

The FOBS urgently need volunteers to help run the games, Tombola and refreshment stalls to ensure they can all go ahead. If you can spare 30 minutes to help, know someone who can or have any questions, please contact the FOBS via email to

Many thanks in advance for your help and support! We hope to see you all in great numbers; feel free to invite family and friends to come along, too!
