After what has been an unprecedented few months, we were so pleased that Year 6 were able to return to school for the last term. They have certainly made the most of being back together again and the last few days of term were especially busy!
Though unable to do our normal events, the class enjoyed their fun Leavers' afternoon last Thursday when they loved eating their hot dogs after a fun mash up game of rounders/lacrosse! It was followed by some energetic dancing to their favourite tunes, then a chance to read through their year book. They loved seeing photos of themselves from Reception to Year 6 - some have not changed a bit!
On sports day on Friday, the class gave a very excited thank you to members of Team FOBS as they were presented with their class of 2020 hoodies! We very much appreciate all of the support given by the FOBS and the hoodies certainly rounded off a brilliant final sports day for the class.
On the last day of term, we celebrated their sporting success, with Mr Togher presenting a gift as thanks to our terrific Young Ambassadors who have done such a good job promoting sport in school. Then it was time for him to present medals - with the normal Olympics being cancelled this year, Mr Togher had organised our very own Belmont Olympics! Each pupil in the Year 6 'bubbles' represented a country and team in a variety of sporting competitions that took place over the weeks. The medal winners were announced to great cheers!
