Getting Ready For September!

To help you to prepare for that big day when we return to school on Wednesday, 4 September 2024, information you many find useful can be found below.

 

The School Day
  EYFS, Year 1, Year 2 Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6
School Gates Open 8:45 am
Registration 8:50 am
Gates Closed 9:00 am
Morning Break 10:45 am - 11:00 am
Lunch Break 12:20 pm - 1:20 pm
Finishing Time 3:20 pm 3:25 pm

 

PE

  • On PE Days, children should arrive at school in their Belmont PE Kit - days will be communicated to parents/carers each term. The PE timetable for Term 1 will be announced as soon as possible.
  • All pupils should wear school uniform for the first week of the term - Wednesday, 4 September to Friday, 6 September.

 

School Uniform

  • Please see our School Uniform page for full details of the uniform and PE Kit required.
  • Children should wear black, sensible, sturdy shoes. 
  • Trainers should only be worn on PE Days and children should not wear open toed sandals or slip on shoes.
  • School uniform with school logo including the Belmont PE shirt may be bought online at Nationwide School Uniforms.
  • Jewellery - only one stud earring per ear lobe is allowed to be worn at school. Earrings need to be removed or covered for PE and taken out by your child for swimming.
  • Please name all items of clothing so if any get lost they can quickly be returned to their owner.

 

Healthy Snacks & School Lunch

  • All children should bring a named plastic drinks bottle that can be refilled with water during the school day.
  • Bottles of Prime, sports, energy and fizzy drinks are not permitted. We ask that Prime/sports/energy drink bottles are not re-used as water bottles.
  • Children can bring a healthy snack for morning break. This can be a cereal bar or fruit, no crisps or chocolate/sweets please. 
  • A snack bar, run by the Year 6s, is open in the hall every playtime for children in Key Stage 2 who wish to
    purchase a snack at school.
  • Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are given a free piece of fruit each day but they can also bring in their
    own healthy snack if they wish.
  • Children under 5 also receive a free carton of milk.

 

  • Unless having a school meal, children should bring their lunch in a named lunch box.
  • If your child wishes to have school meals these should be ordered online via https://nel.mealselector.co.uk TWO WEEKS in advance.

Early Bird and Breakfast Clubs
Early Bird - Opens at 7:45 am, the cost is £3.00 per session and must

be booked prior to attending.
Breakfast Club - Opens at 8:20 am, the cost is £1.50 per session and must

be booked prior to attending.

For both clubs, breakfast is varied and includes fruit, yoghurts, cereal, toast, juice, milk beans/spaghetti on toast and bagels. Clubs are only available for Belmont pupils.

Children must not be left alone at the office and should be handed over to a member of staff no earlier than 7:45 am for Early Bird or 8:20 am for Breakfast Club.

 

Belmont Bats After School Club - New September 2024!
Commencing September 2024, our new daily Belmont Bats After School Club for Belmont pupils will be supervised by school staff until 6:00 pm at a cost of £8.00 per session (or 3:25 pm to 4:30 pm - £5.00)
