"Inspirational!" was the word used by Mr Davidson to describe a fantastic member of Team Belmont in Friday’s assembly! Key Stage 2 pupil, Hetty, loves wildlife and does everything she can to protect it. During the Easter holidays, she decided to do a litter pick around the local area and the grounds of Grantham College and filled two bin bags with rubbish that had been discarded!

Looking after our environment was discussed in a recent assembly by Mr Davidson. 'We can all make a difference', concerned a campaign by a 10 year old girl in Wales to stop single-use plastic being used as wrapping for children's magazines and then put into landfill or discarded as litter. After the assembly, Hetty was determined to do her part to protect wildlife.

"It inspired me," Hetty told us. "I also saw a programme on TV and saw that rubbish was harming all the fish. It makes me feel sad when I see all the rubbish and the animals can get hurt from it."

We're incredibly proud of Hetty, a fantastic role model for Team Belmont. Well done!
