What a term it has been; with school being able to resume our normal activities we have certainly been busy!
The last month has been particularly exciting beginning with the wonderfully supported Great Belmont Sponsored Ramble and then the Chrismas Tree Festival at St Wulfam's Church at the end of November. Children made decorations based on the theme of 'A Woodland Christmas' and we know lots of you went along to the church to see the beautiful trees on display.
December kicked off with our Family Christmas Cinema, which was enjoyed by everyone who attended and we then welcomed everyone to the FOBS Christmas Fayre. This was a resounding success, raising £1,116.99, thanks to your generous support and the tireless work of Mrs James and the members of the FOBS. We are very grateful for everything they do in support of the school.
The children in EYFS and KS1 were very excited to perform their nativity, 'A Bundle of Joy' in front of their families. They worked so hard learning lines, dancing, singing and playing instruments and everyone had a wonderful time.
A return to normality meant that we were able to hold our annual Carol Service at the Church of Ascension this week to which families were invited. We were also able to gather together in the hall for our Christingle Service, one of our very special events of the year.
Party time on the last day of term was also great fun, with a quiz organised by Taruca and won by Elk Class. Each class was very excited to be given a special present by Santa.
You can see photos from some of the events in our Photo Gallery - please click HERE to go directly to it. This includes a special Christmas song by Sambar Class! You can also download a copy of our latest Newsletter by clicking HERE.
The Governors and staff at Belmont would like to take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. We hope you are able to enjoy some wonderful times together over the Christmas period and look forward to seeing everyone again on Wednesday, 4 January 2023.
