What a busy end of term it has been! Although we have had to make some adjustments in order to keep everyone safe, we have ensured the children enjoyed lots of wonderful Christmas activities in school.
Festivities began with the Chrismas Tree Festival at St Wulfam's Church at the end of November where children made decorations based on the theme of 'Growing Gratitude'. We know lots of you went along to the church to see the beautiful trees on display. The choir was in action too - at the Co-Op on Harrowby Lane where they raised funds for the Grantham Foodbank and also at the FOBS Christmas Market.
We are especially pleased that we were able to invite parents and carers into school to see the EYFS/KS1 performance of 'Angel Express'. The children worked so hard and were very excited to be able to perform in front of their families.
Each class had a great time making items to sell at the FOBS Christmas Market. The event was a resounding success thanks to your generous support and the tireless work of the members of the FOBS. We are very grateful for everything they do in support of the school and we hope to bring you details of the amount raised soon.
Eating and enjoying good times together make very special memories, and the children loved their Christmas lunch organised by our hot meals supplier, Chartwells, in early December. Party time on the last day of term was also great fun, with a quiz organised by Taruca and each class given a special present by Santa. He had been spotted in the school grounds earlier in the day, and the children were thrilled when he came to the door of each classroom to say hello!

The Governors and staff at Belmont would like to take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. We hope you are able to enjoy some wonderful times together over the Christmas period and look forward to seeing everyone again on Wednesday, 5 January.
