With everything that is going on in the world, we wanted to add some normality! So this year we are still going to host our Sports Day this Friday 17th July 2020. Although there will be no parents invited into school due to the restrictions, you can still see your child take part if they are in school, from the comfort of your own home! All races and events will be recorded and put onto Twitter for you to watch from home! All of them will be found on @mrtogherbelmont on Twitter!
Not only are we going to be taking part in Sports Day in school, there is also the opportunity for those at home to join in as well with our very first Belmont Community Primary School Virtual Sports Day! You will find the list of events below. Our young ambassador have recorded videos to explain how you can compete in all of these events at home! Links to the videos have been sent home via ParentMail but they can be found on my school Twitter account. Please click HERE to go directly to it. If you do take part at home, please send me a video of your child taking part, either by e-mail to email@example.com or tweet them to @mrtogherbelmont or send them through to your teacher on Microsoft Teams – all of these can be done straight from a phone or tablet to make it easy for you to send them over!
Event 1: Wobbly Racket
Event 2: Over Under/Assault Course
Event 3: Bean bag balance
Event 4: Tennis ball throw
Event 5: Long Jump
Event 6: Family Relay
Event 7: Sprint
I am really looking forward to seeing your videos of you getting involved from home!
Thank you for your continued support.
