I hope everyone is keeping well and trying to stay as active as possible even during this period of lockdown. As I’m sure you are all aware, physical activity is not only good for physical well-being but also mental well-being, which is even more important at this time.
I have recently sent out a ParentMail directing parents/carers to the Inspire+ Daily Distractions and the first Physical Activity Timetable, with links to other great services on there to support physical activity. Please click HERE to download a copy of the timetable. In the children's packs I also included an Active January sheet from GetSet4PE.
The Inspire+ Daily Distractions link to both physical activity and well-being and I’ve seen at first hand how enjoyable the children in school found them this week, so please do take part in the live sessions!
I would recommend for you to follow @inspire_plus and @GetSet4PE on Twitter for further details and daily updates of the fun activities you can try with your children. These are not always time consuming and are always worthwhile!
I would love to see what activities your children have been taking part in at home! You can send me a tweet @mrtogherbelmont with a picture of your child taking part, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or message me via the TEAMS chat. You could even tweet any photos to Inspire+ or GetSet4PE as I know they would love to see you taking part! Please remember that to protect your child's identity, you should not include your child's name if you are uploading their image to social media sites, especially if it is full face
I will be in touch again shortly with news of an exciting task I am going to be setting the whole school, so keep a look out for that!
Stay Safe and Stay Active!
