During this period of lockdown, we will be using Microsoft TEAMS with children from Year 1 to Year 6 to support home learning. TEAMS allows teachers to set work online that can be completed by children at home. It can be accessed through any device - PC, tablet or smart phone. When logged on, children are able to connect with their teacher and classmates. They will find learning that has been set as well as instructions for how to complete it. Children may be asked to watch a video, complete an online quiz, or write in their books. They will have access to Word, PowerPoint and Excel and are able to easily upload a photo of their work - it doesn't need to be printed out. Importantly, children can message their teacher if they get stuck or would like extra work and they will know their teacher will see their work when it's been completed.
It is important that we know your child is able to login and access TEAMS. You should have already received their user name and password via ParentMail. If you have any difficulties, please contact your child's class teacher as soon as possible.
I have recorded two videos which give very simple steps on how to log on to TEAMS, how to submit work and how your child can communicate with their teacher. They can be found on the Parent pages of this site - please click HERE to go directly to it. Please take the time to watch the video that is best suited to how your child will be accessing TEAMS so they can be prepared to use it when asked. Your child’s teacher will be in contact shortly with further details on this.
Many thanks for your continued support.
