The school is holding an information evening as the new curriculum for Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) starts in September 2019 and will be taught from EYFS through primary school and secondary school.
The meeting will be run by Kate Welberry, who is a Programme Officer – Relationships and Sex Education from the Public Health Division of Lincolnshire County Council. The parents who met Kate when she attended our Parents evening last week felt that she is very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.
The meeting will cover which aspects of relationship and sex education will be taught in each year group, how this supports children to recognise healthy relationships and to develop the skills needed to maintain these along with some tips on how to deal with those difficult questions at home. There will also be time for parents/ carers to ask questions.
As a school, we feel that keeping our children safe is of the highest importance and hope that you will take the opportunity to attend this meeting.
