School Access - General Election Day Thursday 12 December 2019

As you are aware the school will be used as a Polling Station for the General Election on Thursday 12 December 2019. The Y1 and Y2 children will be relocating to the main part of the school for the day as the Polling Station will be based in the key stage 1 classrooms. The remainder of the school will be made secure to ensure the segregation of the public from our pupils and staff. Because of this relocation we will have to re-arrange the start and end of the school day.

  • Start of Day – All children to access the school building via the main school entrance (the gate next to the school office).

  • End of the Day – All children will leave from the main school entrance (the gate next to the school office). In order to reduce the busyness at ‘pick up’, the following adjustment to collection times will be made:
    • Reception, Y1 and Y2 children can be collected from 3:10 pm
    • Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 children can be collected from 3:20 pm as usual

Due to the unusual changing political landscape we have had to close the school a number of times in the past and we are keen that the children do not lose any more of their valuable learning time. We appreciate your support in this matter but if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school.
