Star Achievers Of The Week

Mr Davidson was delighted to welcome everyone to our first Star Achiever assembly of the term on Friday morning. Fantastic work is being done both in school and at home, as our Stars were very proud to show us.

This week, our terrific Stars received certificates for:

Reindeer Class - her amazing understanding of number bonds to 10.

Falllow Class - her fantastic poem!

Elk Class - his amazing Spine poetry. It was fantastic!

Impala Class - the imaginative language he has used when working on poetry.

Barasingha Class - her amazing science homework.

Sambar Class - his excellent understanding of decimals, percentages and fractions.

Taruca Class - his wonderful work in Maths.

Two pupils have had outstanding success in their times tables learning this week with Owen and Daniel both being awarded a gold badge.

A new award this term is for kindness, a key part of being a member of Team Belmont. Children are able to nominate a peer for being exceptionally kind by completing a card to put in the treasure chest in the library. Four Kindness Ambassadors have been appointed from Key Stage Two, and each week they will choose 4 children to receive a special certificate. Today, certificates were awarded to: Rosie, Eva L, Leah A and Sienna. Congratulations to you all!

Mr Togher was delighted to share news of the Cross Country event that took place at the Meres last Thursday. Three hundred children from local schools took part and all of our boys and girls put in a fantastic effort - with Logan winning the gold medal for the boys competition. A wonderful achievement! The children represented the school brilliantly and we are so proud of them all.

The final announcement this morning was for Attendance with the first winners of the new term being Sambar Class!

Well done everyone!
