Star Achievers Of The Week

Mr Davidson was delighted to welcome everyone to our Star Achievers assembly on Friday morning. Each of our Stars was very proud to share their fantastic learning with us all. During the assembly we also congratulated children who were awarded their times tables badges and also those who have been awarded swimming certificates.

This week, our Stars received certificates for:

Reindeer Class - learning high frequency words and using them to build full sentences.

Fallow Class - beautiful Autumn homework.

Impala Class - detailed and thoughtful writing.

Barasingha Class - his response to the poem, ‘In Flanders Field’.

Sambar Class - excellent attitude towards all learning.

Taruca Class - her impressive application of Maths.

Times Tables badges were awarded to:

Bronze - Hollie-Maye, Louie, Lexie, Anthony, Brax

Silver - Sebastian, Evan, Brianna

Gold - Sebastian, Mason

Swimming certificates were awarded to:

Elliott, Iona, Imogen, Demi, Connor R, Aaron, Tyler-Jay, Louie

Sporting success was also celebrated this week as Elliott in Taruca proudly told us that he has been awarded his 1st Dan Junior Black Belt in Kickboxing. Well done Elliott!

The Belmont football teams have been in action for the first time this term. On Wednesday, they played a home game against Barkston Primary and won a hard fought match 3-2. For some of the players this was the first time they had ever played a match and represented the school. On Friday, our team took part in a football tournament at the King's School playing field. Sixteen teams took part, with Belmont coming second place in their group.

Mr Togher spoke proudly of how well the members of both teams played, working together and supporting each other. They were all fantastic representatives for the school.

The final announcement of the morning was, of course, for the Attendance winners. Due to the Remembrance Service, we did not find out last week's winners until today. Sambar Class were very excited to learn they had won with 99%, and they were even more excited to find out they were this week's winners too with an even better 99.3%! A great effort by everyone in Sambar!
