Star Achievers Of The Week

It has been RE week at Belmont this week, and three of our Stars were awarded certificates for their learning in this subject in our Star Achiever assembly this morning. As well as congratulating our fabulous Stars, we also celebrated the achievement of four pupils who have earned their Platinum Times Tables badge. This includes Kodi from Elk Class, who is the youngest person in school to have earned this award!

This week, our Stars received certificates for:

Reindeer Class - making great progress with her handwriting.

Fallow Class - working so hard to learn his high frequency words.

Elk Class - enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and interest during RE week.

Impala Class - retelling a Sikh story well with speech punctuation.

Barasingha Class - excellent vocabulary when retelling a story in RE.

Sambar Class - excellent effort and attitude during RE week.

Taruca Class - powerful use of a storyboard to develop non-linear chronology.

Times Tables badges were awarded to:

Bronze: Ava (Elk), Laurie-Leigh (Impala)

Gold: Justas (Sambar), Jack (Taruca)

Platinum: Kodi (Elk), Rio (Sambar), Kyra & Elliott (Taruca)

Pupils are also practising their times tables skills by using the Times Tables Rock Stars website. This week, Meinardas from Sambar Class was awarded his 'Rock Hero' certificate, a great achievement.

Sporting success was also celebrated this week when swimming certificates were awarded to children in Fallow and Elk classes: Railey, Lily-Rose, Faith, Jacob, Bailey G, Eloise and Darin

Mr Togher was proud to report on the football matches played against Sir Isaac Newton school this week. He said that the two games demonstrated the best team performances he had seen, with the players putting in a tremendous effort and work rate.

The final announcement of the morning was for the Attendance winners. Taruca were very excited to learn they had won once again this term!

Well done everyone!
