Star Achievers Of The Week

Mr Davidson was delighted to welcome everyone to his favourite assembly of the week as our Stars shared their fantastic learning with us all this morning.


This week, our Stars received certificates for:

Reindeer Class - progress this week with addition.

Fallow Class - a fantastic piece of scientific writing about John Mcadam.

Elk  Class - a detailed timeline about the Apollo moon landing.

Impala Class - creative ideas and teamwork within Design and Technology.

Barasingha Class - use of ambitious vocabulary in English.

Sambar Class - effort and attitude across all subjects.

Taruca Class - great paper folding skills and super exploration of some tricky quadrilaterals.


Two more coveted Platinum Times Tables Badges were awarded this week, along with two bronze and two gold. A new Rock Legend was also awarded his certificate for Times Tables Rock Stars. Great work by:

Rock Legend - Sam (Taruca)

Bronze - Alicia & Maddison (Impala)

Gold - Sandra (Impala), Hunny (Sambar)

Platinum - Daniel & David (Sambar)


We also thanked Brooke and Ella from Impala this morning, for representing Belmont at a recent gymnastics competition at the Meres.  They have both been awarded certificates by the Grantham & District Primary Schools Sports Association


Achievements out of school were also celebrated this morning:

  • Mckenzie and his dog Kai, recently took part in a dog agility competition. Mckenzie was very proud to show us the rosette he received. 
  • Layla-May has been awarded a 5 m Learn to Swim certificate and Charlie from Impala has achieved his Level 6 Learn to Swim certificate.


Taruca were once again the Attendance winners of the week - a fantastic achievement everyone!


Next week will be our Star of the Term assembly.
