Take Part In A Virtual Sports Competition!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. Unfortunately due to the circumstances we find ourselves in, our sport competitions at school were cancelled BUT I have some exciting news for you all! The local School Games organisers have been working hard and have created virtual sport competitions. These events will be released on the dates shown below with Primary and Secondary schools taking part on alternate weeks. When the event is due, information of what the competition is, how to do it and how to enter will be released and sent out to you via ParentMail and also details will be found on my Twitter account: @mrtogherbelmont.

All the information is clear and has simple instructions to follow. Not only does this give children the opportunity to compete and represent the school, it also gives them the chance to maybe try something new or get active during this time. It would be great if we can have as many entries as possible and winners will also be selected.

On a whole school point of view, these events will work towards our School Games Mark, a Government led scheme in the assessment of PE.  Last year we received a silver award and this year we are well on the way to receive gold, the highest level of this award that we can achieve, so your support in this would be greatly appreciated.

All children who take part will be rewarded and recognised.  Any child can take part, there is no selection process and you can take part in all the events or you can select the events you’d wish to enter.
