Wow, what a week it was! We all had tremendous fun at this year's Togher Trials organised by the School Council and Mr Togher. Due to the very wet weather, some of the activities had to be moved indoors, with Mr Togher adapting the plans to ensure the Trials could go ahead.
Monday's Cheer was led by our very own champion, who showed us all why she wins National competitions! Tuesday was the obstacle course using the equipment in the hall - crawling under the parachute and climbing the apparatus being particular highlights. Surprisingly, it didn't rain on the Wednesday, so we could go outside. As it happens, that day's activity was the Water Challenge, a relay to carry as much water as we could from one end of the playground to the other using a cup with a hole in it! It was wonderful to see the older children help the younger ones with this.
We managed to get outside again on the Thursday for a great run, but rain on the Friday meant the netball tournament had to be held in the hall. Mr Togher saved the day by making up some netball posts, and everyone had a brilliant time!
As you know, Mr Togher cycled from Lincoln Cathedral to school on 6 June and is generously donating half of the money he raises to the school. To date, he has raised nearly £1,400 via the JustGiving website. We hope our Togher Trials will be just as successful and would like to thank everyone who either made a donation on the Friday or sponsored a child. All of the money raised by the children will be used to improve our great school.
Please could all sponsor money be sent into school before Friday 28 June 2019. Thank you.
