The children in Sambar and Taruca spent a wonderful day in Peterborough recently as part of their RE learning. During the morning they visited the Faizan E Madina Mosque and spent time with the Imam who showed them round and talked to them about the beautiful building and the life of a Muslim.
The afternoon was spent at the Cathedral where they took part in a workshop about faith. Through this they were able to have a tour of the Cathedral, highlighting key aspects and features of Christianity.
Since their return to school the children have spent time comparing the two religions and finding similarities and differences between them.
You can find more photos from their visit in the Photo Gallery.
