Belmont was invaded by the Vikings today! The children in Sambar and Taruca had a fantastic time with Partake History learning about the lives of Vikings. They had the opportunity to see armour and swords the Vikings would have used; make bracelets, shields and pots; as well as weaving and planning a settlement. After practising their battle moves and then raiding a Saxon home, the workshop culminated in the the burning of a Viking long ship!
It was an incredible experience for the children and really brought to life their learning on this exciting topic.
