Public Health England guidance states that a change of clothes for each day will help prevent
the spread of the virus.
School Uniform - Children should wear school uniform unless it is a day on which they have PE.
PE Kit – On the days when children are doing PE they will need to wear their PE kit to school rather than their uniform. PE kit should not be kept in school as a clean kit should be worn each PE day. Please do look on our Uniform page of the website (click HERE), for details about what the PE kit should consist of. We have endeavoured to space out the two PE days for each class bubble within the week, as this will assist you in keeping both the PE kit and school uniform washed and ready for the next school day.
Mr Togher (PE Lead) ~
Whilst Covid restrictions are in place, we have changed how we work in PE to maintain safety and follow Government guidance and our school risk assessment. Part of this is taking part in PE outdoors as much as possible, so every year group will be taking part in PE outdoors unless it is heavy rain or the conditions outside are unsafe for example ice or snow. It is important that your child comes into school on PE days dressed in appropriate clothing for outdoor PE.
Your child can wear: tracksuit bottoms, a t shirt (even 2 t shirts if they feel the cold), a jumper/hoody and a light weight rain jacket your child can also wear their ‘skins’ if they have them.
On days where it is due to rain, it might also be worth sending your child in with a spare pair of socks and trainers in case. We have recently had a lot of children who are not dressing accordingly for the weather and are becoming extremely cold during lessons and it is affecting their performance within lessons.
** Please also ensure that all children have a water (not juice) bottle in school everyday, but definitely on a PE day **
Thank you for your continued support.
