At Belmont, we offer a rich and vibrant science curriculum which is ambitious and inclusive for all learners. Objectives from the National Curriculum have been mapped out and there is an emphasis on hands-on, practical lessons. It has been carefully planned to ensure that children acquire key scientific knowledge and a broad science vocabulary. Science skills are learnt progressively through school and children are made aware of prior and future learning within a learning journey.  At Belmont, it is integral to us that we build the science capital of all our pupils and consider how science influences our lives, in our local and global environments. We teach about different scientists and arrange visits out, or visitors into school, to enrich our science learning, making it fun and relevant.
