Sports Day - Friday, 26 June

We are excited to let you know that our annual Sports Day will be taking place on Friday, 26 June 2026!

A letter has been sent home to all parents and carers about the arrangements for the day. A copy of it may be downloaded from our Letters page, but a brief outline is given below.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to what we are sure will be a fantastic day!

Brief Outline

Team Colours - your child should come into school in sports clothing with trainers, wearing the colour of their House. Please ensure your child is dressed accordingly for the weather on that day. Please ensure your child has a hat, a water bottle and sun cream on the day.

House colours are: Red Kites–Red, Sparrowhawks–Blue, Ospreys–Green, Kestrels–White. Your child should know their House. If not, please check with their class teacher.

Reception/KS1 - The gate will open at 9:10 am ready for a 9:20 am start. All spectators must leave at the end of the activities so that the children may eat lunch.

KS2 - The gate will be open at 1:10 pm ready for a 1:20 pm start. Children will return to their classrooms after the winner of the trophy has been announced. Children should be collected at the usual time from the usual place.

Light refreshments will be available to purchase (cash only).

Please can we remind everyone that smoking or vaping is not permitted on the school field/car park/premises.

Safeguarding Reminders

Gates Will Be Locked - Once the event has begun, due to staffing and safeguarding, we ask spectators to stay on the school premises and not be leaving for short periods of time and coming back in, as you may be left at the gate. The keyholder will be involved in the running of sports day and the key will not be held at the school office.

Spectators must stay on their side of the track and must not cross the track. Children will also not be able to cross the track to parents as we must know where all children are at all times. Please speak to a member of staff if you wish to give anything to your child, such as a drink.

Photos - We ask that when taking photos at school events, please be mindful of the fact that we have pupils who are not permitted to have their photos online, especially on social media. To ensure we can keep all of our children safe, please do not post photos from the event that include other children.
