During the school year we hold many parent events. We have Open Days, coffee mornings, music performances and of course not forgetting our Christmas and end of year productions and summer fun days!
On Friday afternoons, we hold our Celebrating Achievement assembly where three awards are presented in each class, one for each of the Belmont Pocket Principles: Be Respectful: Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn. Star of the term assemblies take place at the end of each term with one child chosen from each class. Parents/carers are invited to come along and join us in the assemblies to celebrate their child’s achievements.
In addition to this we have two parent consultation evenings during the year where parents/carers are able to look through their child's learning as well as have the opportunity to discuss their progress with the class teacher. During this time there is also the chance to meet other members of staff and parents and to enjoy a cup of tea! If you do feel that you need to speak to your child’s class teacher at any other time, then the school operates an 'open door policy', so your child's teacher will be happy to arrange a chat at a time that is convenient for both you and them. Please arrange this through the school office.
A written report is sent home in Term 6 that will inform you of your child’s progress and attitude towards learning.
