The Millennium Garden

We know that many of you have noticed the apple tree in the Millennium Garden on Harrowby Lane tended by Belmont children has been partially removed.

Unfortunately, the tree had succumbed to disease and there was a danger dead branches would fall on the children in our Gardening Club who tend the garden. To prevent this, the Parish Council decided the tree needed to be removed.

So not to disturb the lovely summer planting in the garden, the tree roots will be removed in the autumn. No decision has been made yet as to what will replace it.
