Water Bottles & Snacks

WATER BOTTLES

We encourage children to bring a re-usable plastic water bottle. It may contain sugar-free squash if children prefer it to plain water. Bottles may be refilled with plain water during the day and should be taken home for cleaning.

Drinking water improves memory and attention, helps children maintain a healthy weight, reduces the risk for some chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease, and helps prevent dental cavities if fluoridated.

Bottles of Prime, sports, energy or fizzy drinks are not permitted.
We ask that Prime/sports/energy drink bottles are not re-used as water bottles.

BREAKTIME SNACKS
  • Children can bring a healthy snack for morning break. This should be fruit, vegetables or seeds only – no crisps or chocolate/sweets please.
  • Nuts are not permitted on school premises under any circumstances due to allergies.
  • Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are given a free piece of fruit each day, but they can also bring in their own healthy snack if they wish.
  • Children under 5 also receive a free carton of milk.
