Mr Allsopp was very pleased to welcome everyone to our Star Achiever celebration this afternoon. Three awards were presented to children in each class, one for each of the Belmont Pocket Principles: Be Respectful: Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn.
We are excited to announce that our Pupil Parliament will be hosting a Break the Rules Day on Wednesday, 1 April to help raise money towards a brand-new trim trail for the school playground.
For Comic Relief, on Friday, 20 March 2026 children may dress in red and wear a red nose. Children will hear about Comic Relief in school and how their charity supports people and families less fortunate.
We know that starting school is a big step for your child and your family, and it can be an exciting but also a daunting time. You may have questions, or you may just not know where to begin. I am pleased to let you know that the Lincolnshire County Council Early Years Team has arranged free face-to-face and online sessions to support parents/carers of children starting school in September 2026.
The competition to be our Dojo House winners was certainly close this week with a difference of only seven points between first and second place. Congratulations to Ospreys who came top with a score of 168 points. Our runners-up were Sparrowhawks on 161 and only seven points behind in third place, Red Kites.
We have been asked to pass on exciting news from the Charles Read Academy, who will be delivering an Easter Sports Camp for all primary school-aged children during the holidays. A copy of their flyer has been sent home via ParentMail and can be found below.
We had a wonderful day celebrating our love for books on World Book Day! The children - and staff - all looked absolutely fantastic in their favourite book character costumes! Mr Allsopp came to school dressed as the dad from the book 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' - and brought in his big soft toy tiger too! The children were very excited to learn that the tiger is going to be a prize for the special Sponsored Read Challenge that began on Monday!

We have been notified that there are some cases of scarlet fever within the school; they are at home receiving treatment.
As World Book Day is fast approaching, we thought a Sponsored Reading Bingo Challenge would be a wonderful way to promote reading and for children to practice their reading skills.
Today, Mr Allsopp was delighted to congratulate 98 children who received their 100% Attendance Certificates for Term 3, January–February 2026.

Yesterday, the children in Key Stage1 had a lovely ‘Open the Book’ assembly with the team from LightSpace telling us the story of John the Baptist.
