The children in Year 6 – Taruca Class had an incredible opportunity to explore their themed work on World War II when they visited the National Holocaust Centre and Museum in Laxton on the last day of the Spring term.
Belmont Young Journalists, Nella and Harriet report on our Star of the Term assembly held this afternoon, where we celebrated pupils in each class who have completed outstanding work and made excellent progress this term.
Children were very excited to take part in the Great British Spring Clean this week.
The children in Key Stage 1 and Reindeer Class were excited to take part in a special Open The Book assembly about the miracle of the resurrection with the team from LightSpace yesterday. The children were captivated and enjoyed hearing the story.
Three awards were presented in each class in our Star Achiever celebration this afternoon, one for each of the Belmont Pocket Principles: Be Respectful: Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn. The children who excelled this week are:
As part of their geography learning, the children in Year 5 – Sambar Class went on a field trip this afternoon to Wyndham Park. They met with River Care Grantham to learn about the River Witham and how we can help keep it healthy. They also helped to clean the local area as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
The children in Year 3 – Impala Class loved their visit to the Church of Ascension this afternoon where they took part in an Easter Experience workshop led by Reverend Sam. They heard the Easter story and then took part in five different activities. The children listened carefully, asking lots of questions and did a great job decorating stones as part of one of the activities.
Today, we were very excited to welcome representatives from Grantham Town Football Club and the Lincolnshire Cheer & Dance Academy to Belmont!

We are excited to announce that our Pupil Parliament will be hosting a Break the Rules Day on Wednesday, 1 April to help raise money towards a brand-new trim trail for the school playground.
