  • Scarlet Fever Notification

We have been notified that there are some cases of scarlet fever within the school; they are at home receiving treatment.

It is felt that all parents should be aware of the symptoms, which are:

    • A bright red rash which feels like sandpaper to touch, usually beginning on the neck or chest.
    • Blisters
    • Nausea/vomiting
    • A sore throat with swelling in the neck, finding it painful to swallow and sometimes a white tongue or strawberry tongue.
    • Very high temperature

Please consult your doctor if your child is suffering with these symptoms as medication will be required.

    Many thanks,

    Mr Allsopp
