At Belmont Community Primary School, we are looking for parent and co-opted governors to join our governing body. As a governor, you will be a volunteer who makes a vital contribution to the success of the school.
School governors have three main roles:
This role may be particularly of interest if you have skills in Finance, HR, Data or Education, but we invite applications from anyone who is interested in helping the school be the best it can be. To be eligible for the Parent Governor role, you must be the parent of a child of the school or be caring for/have cared for a child at the school. You cannot be an elected member of the local authority.
Meetings are held in school, usually after school, and governors also spend time in school during the day to monitor school priorities.
You must be 18 or over to apply, and all governors must have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. If you would like to find out more, please email enquiries@belmont.lincs.sch.uk for more information.
Please also see our Governor page for further details of our current governing body.
