  • A Fabulous Time At Rand Farm!

Children in Barasingha Class had a wonderful time on their Rand Farm residential visit last week. A very busy and exciting three days.

Parents and carers were kept up to date via Dojo as the children learnt all about life on the farm. Tractor rides, woodland walks and the important job of looking after the animals. They learnt how chicks develop (and had the opportunity to hold a day old one) and even how to milk a cow!

Other activities included a journey to an arable farm where they learnt all about the kind of things farmers plant, how they grow to create the ingredients we need for different foods and picking their own carrots to make carrot cupcakes for dessert (yum)! After working together to complete their afternoon jobs on the Thursday, they were rewarded with an ice-cream tasting where they made their own ice-cream sundae followed by having a great time playing in the park.

They all had a brilliant visit, and we would like to give huge thanks to everyone at Rand Farm for making the children and staff feel so welcome.
