Children in Year 3 - Impala Class had a fabulous day at Flag Fen last week. As historians and archeologists, they found out about everyday life in the Stone Age including why animals were hunted.
The children particularly enjoyed going into the roundhouse, where, in front of a fire, they listened carefully to find out more about where Stone Age people lived, thinking about the differences between their houses and ours. They then had great fun painting stones, making clay pots and even building a wall using the wattle and daub method using natural resources.
Our thanks to everyone at Flag Fen for a super day!
