  • SUMO Course In June - Places Still Available

Thu 25 Apr 2024 Mrs McCormack, Family Liaison Officer

As you know, we have been offered an exciting opportunity for parents and carers to attend a short course taking place at Belmont in June. Places on the course are still available; If you would like to find out more or to ask any questions, either contact the school office to speak to myself or email me at Andrea.McCormack@belmont.lincs.sch.uk to book your place.

    About The Course

The SUMO ‘Stop Understand and Move On’ course is for any parent, guardian, carer, or those who are supporting children and families who want to explore new ways to help children (and adults) navigate through the rollercoaster of life. The course aims to provide a ‘toolkit’ to help manage the big emotions and challenges that inevitably come their way. Each session has been designed to build from the last and show that small changes in our responses can lead to big changes as a whole.

The course is completely free of charge, taking place on Thursday 6th June, Thursday 13th June, Thursday 20th June and Thursday 27th June from 1.30pm – 3pm. It is a great chance to meet other parents and learn something new, with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Mrs McCormack

    Family Liaison Officer

  • Find Our Egg At The Giant Easter Egg Hunt!

Thu 28 Mar 2024 Mrs Leeson

A free Giant Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place in Grantham on Saturday, 30 March! It has been organised by SKDC’s Arts and Cultural Services Team working in partnership with local primary schools, community groups and businesses and we are excited to let you know one of the eggs has been hand-decorated by the children in Belmont Art Club!

The 3 foot tall wooden eggs were built by local artist Simon Kieffer from Outwood CIC, and the Art Club members had a great time helping to design and paint a fabulous decoration. Now it is finished, the egg will be hidden in one of the participating businesses, parks and shops somewhere in Grantham.

The trail will start from the Wyndham Park Visitor Centre between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Those taking part will have the chance to seek out the eggs whilst solving puzzles on the trail and once all the eggs have been found and the puzzles solved, participants can return to the Visitor Centre to receive a sweetie reward. They will also have the chance to enter a prize draw to win tickets for upcoming shows at the Guildhall Arts Centre.

Please note: Trail tickets are free but must be booked in advance and all children require a ticket.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
