Fallow 2019 - 2020

Gainsborough Old Hall

We had a fabulous time on our trip with Elk Class in March. We went into lockdown because of the Coronavirus only a few days later!

The Spangled Pandemonium

We have had great fun looking at the poem, The Spangled Pandemonium, and have drawn our own ideas of what it would look like! You can see a super example below.

A Busy Term Of Sport

We have really enjoyed learning new sports this term. The children had the opportunity to learn the Paralympic sport of Boccia with Carl from Inspire+ and have been playing indoor hockey with Mr Togher.

It's Christmas!

The end of term was lots of fun. It was wonderful to see the children perform in our Christmas production of the Nativity. They did a brilliant job! The last day began with our Christingle celebration where two children from the class carefully carried a lit candle into the hall as the choir sang 'Away in a Manger'.  Afterwards, we were so excited when Santa joined us during our party and I was very proud of them all when we joined the rest of the school for the Christmas singalong.

The Great Fire of London With Partake

We all thoroughly enjoyed re-enacting the Great Fire of London!

RE Week - Sukkot

This year, our focus in RE week was one of the World's major religions, Judaism. We had the opportunity to recreate an important festival to help the children understand a different faith and culture.

The festival of Sukkot celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the sheltering of the Israelites in the wilderness. The main objective of the holiday is to build a Sukkah, a small temporary shelter which provides shade while allowing those inside of it to see the sky. The children really enjoyed gathering the materials and building their very own Sukkahs!

Putting Out The Fire!

We were so excited to welcome members of the Grantham Fire Service to Belmont to talk to the children about fire safety. We had great fun learning about the fire engine and were able to climb inside and then have a go using the hose!

Reading Time!

We love our weekly reading time with family and friends to help us!
