RE

Through the study of Christianity and other faiths, our Religious Education curriculum aims to develop pupils’ knowledge and understanding of religious beliefs and practice; of different symbols and traditions within these religions and of their influence on communities and culture. We believe that all children should be able to explore and respond to human experiences through the acquisition of an appreciation of values and beliefs and through the fostering of positive attitudes. We follow the ‘Lincolnshire Agreed Syllabus’ for RE.

Children will get the chance to visit places of worship from different religions and many visitors of different faiths often come to school to share their experiences with the children.

Parents and carers of primary school age children do have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE. Please contact the Head Teacher if you wish to discuss this.
