School Uniform

January 2023 Update

Pupils should come to school wearing their PE kit on the days they have PE.

Please click HERE for a copy of the time table.

We are very proud of our school and the people in it. To promote our strong ‘team’ feel we think it is important that all children wear our school uniform. We hope that you will support us in encouraging your child to take pride in how they look when they come to school.

Nationwide School Uniforms

We are delighted to say that the school has joined up with Nationwide School Uniforms a company that is quite local to us being based in Spilsby.  The company has over 25 years experience in providing school uniform and with all badging being carried out at their premises they have total control of all aspects of the production of garments with the school logo.  A number of plain school items are also available.  Once ordered garments are collated and delivered to the school at the end of the month. Please click HERE to go directly to the site.

If you have any queries, please contact the school office.

JEWELLERY

On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are earring studs in pierced ears, small objects of religious significance and a watch. We ask the children to either remove these objects during PE and games or cover them with a micropore tape (available in school), to prevent them from causing injury to themselves. Please note your child must remove their earrings themselves for swimming.

EXTREME HAIRSTYLES

The school does not permit children to have ‘extreme’ hairstyles that could serve as a distraction to other children in our learning environment. This includes shaved patterns, spiking and gelling hair, or having dyed or having false extensions. The definition of an extreme hairstyle is at the discretion of the Headteacher.

FOOTWEAR

The school wants all children to grow into healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerous for children to wear shoes that have platform soles, strappy open-toed sandals, slingbacks or high heels. Neither do we allow children to wear trainers to school; this is because we think that this footwear is appropriate for sport or for leisurewear, but is not in keeping with the smart appearance of a school uniform. We require all children to wear sensible black footwear.

OTHER

False nails, nail varnish and/or tattoos (henna or transfers) are not permitted to be worn at school.
