Earlier this week, we were excited to welcome back to Belmont Chef Darren from Roots To Food, who led some fantastic workshops with the children in Key Stage 2 about the importance of healthy eating. They had a fabulous time as they practiced peeling, chopping and frying techniques whilst working as a team to create a healthy family meal - Singapore Noodles. The food tasted absolutely delicious - you can find the recipe in the photos below.
Afterwards, Darren commented, "It was a pleasure to return to Belmont. The children demonstrated terrific cooking practices, food techniques and nutritional value. The food theme was a huge success as almost all the children loved the food they created."
