We had a wonderful day celebrating our love for books on World Book Day! The children - and staff - all looked absolutely fantastic in their favourite book character costumes! Mr Allsopp came to school dressed as the dad from the book 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' - and brought in his big soft toy tiger too! The children were very excited to learn that the tiger is going to be a prize for the special Sponsored Read Challenge that began on Monday!
After our special assembly in the morning, there were lots of book-themed learning and activities including a BBC live online lesson and an interactive workshop with Jamie Gregory, author of Bone Head: Guardian of the Underworld. During in the afternoon, children in KS2 had the opportunity to visit the younger classes to share their love of reading. We all had a brilliant time - you can find more photos on the Class News and Photo Gallery pages!
