We had a brilliant end to last term with our sponsored walk to Belton House. The children had a fantastic day, taking part in lots of activities including sports, exploring the house and creating art in the beautiful grounds. It was amazing to see the whole school together on the trip - over 200 children, along with staff and many parent helpers and volunteers!
It would not have been possible without the help and hard work of our fantastic staff team and the attitudes of the children throughout the whole day was brilliant to see. The smiles on their faces made all the planning for the event so worthwhile! We lost count at the number of members of the public who complemented the children on their behaviour and their manners; with one commenting on how inclusive the school was and the support given to all of the children to ensure they could take part and get the most out of their time there.
Thank you to all of the parents and carers who helped us on the day and to everyone for the sponsorship money raised. We were absolutely blown away by all of your efforts and as a school we raised a record-breaking £3,590! A huge amount that will be put towards the development of an aging trim trail, with plans well and truly underway. If there are any members of the community who would be willing to support us in this development, it would be hugely appreciated by the whole Belmont Primary School community.
A selection of photos from the day can be found in the Gallery!
