Belmont Mini Police Assembly - Our Thanks To PCSO Rowena

On Tuesday, on her final visit to Belmont this academic year, PCSO Rowena Everitt led a very informative assembly for the children in Years 5 and 6 on the topic of personal responsibility.

She covered various ways to keep ourselves safe and the influences that could make us unsafe. The children also discussed peer pressure and learnt how alcohol affects people and how it can make them be less responsible.

PCSO Rowena also said farewell and thank you to our Year 6 Belmont Mini Police who have worked hard for us all year. As a treat, she brought in a finger print machine for them to have a go!

We are very proud to take part in the Lincolnshire Mini Police programme each year, where pupils from Years 5 and 6 are elected to work along side Lincolnshire Police.  Their aim is to make a difference to our school and to our local community by being good citizens within the school environment and being helpful to other children. The local PSCO's also come into school to deliver special assemblies for these year groups.

We would like to say a special thank you to PCSO Rowena for all her work with us this year and look forward to meeting her again in the autumn.
