Celebrating Achievement

The competition to be our Dojo House winners was certainly close last week with a difference of only one point between first and second place. Congratulations to Red Kites who came top with a fabulous score of 241 points. Our runners-up were Kestrels on 240 and only three points behind in third place, Ospreys.

Children are making a terrific effort with our Reading Competition, with Year 4 - Barasingha Class already having reached 71% of their target of one million words!

Three awards were presented in each class in our Star Achiever celebration on Friday afternoon, one for each of the Belmont Pocket Principles: Be Respectful: Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn. The children who excelled this  week are:

  • EYFS & KS1: Tommy, Prince, Minnie, Willow, Bleu, Maeve, Baybars, Erelah and Keyla-Mae
  • KS2: Jude, Arthur, Keegan, Tobias, Juliette, Louie, Olympia, Harry, Riley and Darcy-Mai

The class with the highest attendance for week-ending 30 January was Year 1 - Fallow Class with 97%.

Well done everyone!
