Today, we had our Tuesday assembly with Mr. Debono, about the celebration of World Maths Day. We began by talking about the different types of maths in different contexts: computer games, Blooket, the internet and light. These all require some form of maths to keep them running.
Then, we learnt about famous mathematicians: Florence Nightingale, Albert Einstein, Ada Lovelace, Isaac Newton and Alan Turing. Mr. Debono explained how women back in the day were looked down on for doing mathematics as it was something only males would do.
Have a great rest of your week!
