We know that starting school is a big step for your child and your family and it can be an exciting but also a daunting time. You may have questions or you may just not know where to begin. I am pleased to let you know that The Early Years Team has arranged free face-to-face and online sessions to support parents/carers of children starting school in September 2026. 

To help with practical ideas, top tips and resources:

• The Swingbridge Family Hub on Trent Road Grantham will be holding two sessions - on 30 April and 7 May. To book a place on your preferred date, please contact the Family Hub on 01476 590034 or email swingbridgecc@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

• There is also a short free online session where you can meet one of the Early Years Team to explore practical activiities and top tips to help your child on their journey to school. Please click HERE to download a copy of the poster below for further information.

In addition, our very local Children's Centre on Belton Lane has a number of free sessions available which will help with socialisation, turn taking and communication skills.
