Star Achievers Of The Week

There were actually two assemblies this morning! The first being our fabulous Star Achiever, where we celebrated a wide range of skills as our Stars shared their learning with us all.

Mr Davidson was delighted to award certificates to our Stars for:

Reindeer Class - her amazing progress in reading.

Fallow Class - her progress in throwing and catching.

Elk  Class - his effort in the Nativity play.

Impala Class - her excellent questioning in guided reading.

Barasingha Class - his fantastic investigation in science.

Sambar Class - showing an excellent understanding of multiplication.

Taruca Class - her wonderful D & T Learning Journey.

Casey from Barasingha Class was very proud to receive her Times Tables badge.

Mr Togher, our PE Lead, was very pleased to update us on our sporting news from this week. Lily, Oliver, Noah and Leon represented us at the County Athletics Trials - we hope to hear the result soon. In addition, our football teams took part in a tournament at the King's School playing field. Mr Togher told us the teams played local and county champions and that it was the best performance he had seen this year. He was very impressed with both their teamwork and football skills. All the children taking part in these two events were wonderful representatives of the school.

This week's Attendance winners were the children in Impala Class with a great 98.7%.

Our second assembly was a surprise for Mrs Tilbury-Leeson who is going on maternity leave from today. She was presented with a bouquet by the children in Reindeer Class and promises to let us know when her new son or daughter is born! We wish her all the very best and hope to see her soon.

Next week will be the last Star Achiever of the Week for this term. We will find out who are the Stars of the Term on Wednesday 18 December.
