Last week ,11 children from Year 6-Taruca Class took part in Bikeability Level 1 and 2 over four mornings with Laura and Caroline from Outspoken! Training. They learnt the ABC for checking their bikes (air, brakes and chain), had a morning session training on the playground, before venturing out on local roads.
The children were taught the importance of checking around them, before any manoeuvre, prior to experiencing “real world cycling”. They practiced pulling away from the curb, road position, junctions and U- turns. They will all receive a certificate and sticker for their hard work and are well on their way to becoming independent cyclists. Well done!
